This is a tie rod bumper set for the Ford electric rack and pinions. Commonly confused for a seal, these are bumpers that prevent the tie rods from hitting metal-to-metal with the rack housing. Have a look at our pictures, the OE Ford bumpers are 2 metal washers encased in rubber. The rubber will degrade over time and leave the metal washers floating on the rack shaft.
This can cause noise and possible binding issues. Our in house design is a heavy duty polymer that is oil/grease/contaminant resistant. Tested to 5000lbf crush pressure!
